July 2nd, 2011 – Cecil County Outlaw Street Car Shootout

We all took a break from our extended holiday weekend and put some time in at Cecil County this weekend, for the monthly installment of the Finishline Performance Outlaw Street Car Shootout.  It was a real scorcher, full sun for most of the day with the occasional cloud or two.  Before 3PM, track temps were in the 150s!  The track staff pulled an old trick out of their back pockets and hosed down the track before the pro qualifying rounds at 4PM, dropping track temps by about 30 degrees.  The track really came around after that and continued to get … Continue reading →

July 1st, 2011 – Atco Raceway 10.0, 11.50 Index

As Atco Raceway was kicking off a big weekend for the Summer Series, we had our latest installment of heads up racing.  In 10.0 Index, our friend Mark Plucinski was dialed in as usual, taking the number one qualifying spot with a 10.010 pass.  Mike Colo and Lee Grinnell were right behind Mark, taking the #2 and #3 spots, respectively.  Mark made his way through a tough field to the finals, where he faced many-time champion Mike Romeo.  Mike threw away the race with a red light, but he had no chance on the planet to beat Mark, who earned … Continue reading →

June 18th, 2011- Englishtown PC Richard & Sons Night of Thrills

PC Richard & Sons along with Englishtown Raceway Park packed the house on Saturday night with their first installment of the 2011 season thrill shows! These shows are insanely fun, where diehard race fans come to enjoy exhibition passes from many racing classes, as well as some awesome monster truck action! Ultimate Outlaw Shootout – Piedmont, NC Season Opener Race Recap
