For those who went to Pinks on Saturday,What did you think?

I got there friday at 1 a.m. and was number 45... BEST move of the weekend..First to tech..drove up and was done in 5 minutes..first to lanes..It was great. Also had a great parking spot by the fuel pumps up front..20 second walk to vendors, stands, bathrooms, etc..

I thought they did a good job.. Its a T.V. show with a chance to win $10,000 for a sportsman racer..You won't hear me complaining.

BTW- was told Pinks Allout does not come back to the same track 2 years in a row..maybe 2010.. I also heard they are trying to get a Passtime show though..This was hearsay though.

All in all, it was a good time, this was our second Pinks. The tech was a frigin joke, there must have been 150 cars in line, we had to push the car up and around to get to the tech tent, it took 2 hours. ( Thanks to Mouth for grabbing us water and lending a helping hand pushing the car for a bit) Also getting out of our parking spot to get into the lane and get back from the return was almost impossable with all the people walking up and down the lanes.
I wished they picked a 9:60 class

Also, we meet a few more GDR members and got to see some of the old ones also,

I had such a GREAT time! The cars were awesome, the pass's Mike got us were AMAZING ... and it was so nice to finally meet some of the GDR ppl that I talk to every day

I went with a few buddies of mine and for the most part had a good time. We walked around the pits checked out the cars and took pics and of course watch the action from the stands. I think the actual show was very long and dragged out but at least they picked a fast class and not the typical mid 10 second class. Besides the final 16 running, I liked the turbo cars and the quick 8 shoot out. The wheels tand competition was weak except for the white 66-67 Chevelle coupe which put on a show every time it ran down the track.

I couldn't agree with you more...It was extremely dragged out and a bit to long IMO. I'm happy I only paid 20$ to get in!!
Cars where Awsome and congrats to all that were pick'd to race. Gotta give credit where credit is Due and the racers get a big from Me!!! I would go back to see any of them race again But just at a different event with not so much Waiting for the next race.
E-town pulls more ppl in for the night of thrills then was there to see the Final 16 make there passes, stands were pretty empty.

Pink All Out was a lot better than I thought it would be. It was also much more organized than I thought it would be. Registration sucked. And them sending all the drivers to the stands for the meeting and then telling everybody to get their cars to the lanes was retarded. But other than that, I liked it. And for some reason, I kept blowing the tires off so that sucked too!

Rich really does make weird faces when he does the arm drop. And he really is clueless about cars and drag racing. I LMAO when somebody asked him if the tree would be on Auto Start. And his reply was, "Auto Start? I, I don't know what that is. Hey guys, is the tree going to be on Auto Start?" Haha That was too funny!

And October 2nd is the scheduled date for the show to be aired.

i'm glad i wasn't hearing things,like what kind of light it was.But hey it was a great time .They are good people i think.Just had a brain freeze

THIS WAS MY 4TH "PINKS ALL OUT" AND I FINALLY GOT IN THE SWEET 16.
I DID MAPLE GROVE, BUDDS CREEK, ATLANTA, AND NOW ETOWN.
WHERE CAN YOU GO FOR 2 DAYS OF RACING, A GREAT TIME, MEET COOL PEOPLE, AND A CHANCE AT 16K???? OR MORE.
I WILL DO EVERYONE POSSIBLE.

I missed ya down there derek, you with yours or your buddies car? Overall the waiting was a bit tedious but i guess considering the amount of cars and everything going on it worked well enough (they did get it finished in 2 days, even though we got jipped on a 3rd test and tune pass because of time on fri.) Tech was a joke, didnt care about mufflers, studs, overflows etc.. I had the hood off thinking they would be checking that since atco and regular etown tech has been so strict. dude didnt even care. He asked for my drivers license/comp license, then walked around the outside the car and asked me if my belts were good, thats it lol >> Was cool day though I couldnt get my car to hook, but i cant blame the track cause jacks 04 cobra dead hooked and broke the eaton posi in half after a quick tire pressure adjustment for the 2nd T+T pass >> We will be at pinks all out again if they go anywhere localish (etown,atco,grove,cecil,etc..)

Yea, WP said they won't go to the same track 2 years in a row. Also, our GTO group was interviewed by Ken Herring from Pass Time. We asked him if they were gonna do a show in the area. He said that they want to do a show in the North East, but it won't be done at E-Town. He said they don't wanna do the Pass Time shows at the same tracks that they do Pinks All Out. But he did say that they were looking into filming a show at Atco next year.

since ive had the car (8 yrs now) I refused to put a front tag on it, law be damned for trying to make me drill holes in the front bumper! But since Jerry was nice enough to get something like that made for us while in FL. I had no choice!

well i for one had loads of fun. i was parked right by the time slip booth and got to see all the cars. i just didn't like the fact that i couldn't hear any anouncements. i also was a little bummed that there wasn't more crowd interaction as well. i did however meet some cool people so that was a plus as well. everybody seemed very friendly.
so with all that being said THANKS to PINKS & E-TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

also where are you guys getting the photos from pinks that have the logo on them like the one you got larry?

Just go to E-town photo shop, they should have a photo of your car if you was in the Allout comp, they will frame it in a 14x11 for $35.00.
