Hey guys I'm new to the site. I'm a gear head like everyone else. I just recently rebuilt my chevy 406ci myself as always. I put 210 AFR aluminum heads, and Lunati solid roller cam, lunati roller rockers, and lunati roller lifters in.
I went up to the track and I wasn't hard on it for the first pass and it ran a 13.4 shifting at 5200rpm in the 1/4.
Second pass I was full out and a 13.6 shifting at 6000rpm.
I should be getting alot more out of this, so what the hell is going on????????
With the same motor but iron gm heads and hydro cam I ran consistent 12.9's.
I figured with the new mods I should be in the high 11's.

Please help, I'm so depressed with this. The new mods were from both AFR heads and Lunati cams to match my combo.

Here are the cam specs:•
Advertised Duration (Int/Exh): 273/279
•Duration @ .050 (Int/Exh): 243/249
•Gross Valve Lift (Int/Exh): .578/.585
•LSA/ICL: 110/106
•Valve Lash (Int/Exh): 016/016
•RPM Range: 2600-7000

11.1 compression
2800 PAW stall converter
3:73 gears
Turbo 350
Holley 830Cfm Drag carb
Accel HEI Ignition
10Pt cage
275 Mickey Thompson Street slicks

Where is your converter flashing to? It sounds like your converter is too tight.

How about weight and gear?
Complete time slip?
It look's like maybe converter? Flash?
Alittle bigger cam would help, but it shouldn't hold it back.
