this winter my big project will be an underhood supercharger such as vortech, paxton, or a powerdyne. My motor specs are below, the motor is in sound shape and i realize ill only be running about 5-7psi non intercooled unless i can figure a way to put an intercooler in there. So give me your recommendations as sueprcharger size, etc. thanks.

355 dart block
10.3:1 nitrous pistons
solid roller 4/7 swap .624/.650 lift 252/262@.050 with 113 LSA
brodix race rite 200cc heads
exhaust, etc
edelbrock /FAST xfi fuel injection

If you can lower that compression down you could run boost up near 12-14# using a blowthru carb without a cooler...The carbs are much more power then FI.....I have used 26# of boost without a cooler...Need more info...PM me Oldhead

You also should be able to run more boost with your compression ratio if you get a methanol injection kit. Anderson Motorsports "Mr Freeze" kit works nice and is inexpensive

MR freeze is a dangerous band aid, the compressions gotta come down if you plan on running this on any sorta pump gas. The FAST setup is hands down the way to go over switching to a blowthrough >> Youll make more power with a tuned FAST setup and something like a S/T trim or a Novi2000 be perfect for ya ---- lower compression then 12-15lbs pressure make you a happy man. Also make sure the fuel system is up to the task >>>>

pxtn pwr i totally agree with you on running higher boost, i just didnt know if i was able to run a low boost setup on my setup now so i didnt have to yank the motor as it is still running awesome. i figured if lt1 and ls1 kits are 7psi on factory 10.5:1 motors why couldnt i run it? That is my main question. I am totally clueless to superchargers other then the basics so I appreciate all input, experience etc with these motors/setups. thanks again keep the info coming!

You can but your limited to low(er) boost. If the compression was lower you'd more than be able to make up the power with boost just as safely.

Call Procharger, they will tell you that a Blowthru Carb will make HUNDREDS of HP more then FI without a cooler...Look at the world's fastest street car, runs in the mid 7s on a carb..............Oldhead

Hundreds? i doubt that. The blow thru will help cool the charge because the hot air is cooled going thru the venturi by the gas. Like a swamp cooler chills the air. If you use fuel injection and a intercooler you could get away with pump gas and great driveability. The hot air blow thru will need race gas, and paitent knowledable tuner and alky to make good power.
